Whether or not to expand to expand the urban rail system beyond the Red Line in
and around Austin is currently a controversial question.
An urban rail forum, the third in a “Hot Talk” series sponsored by the Austin
American-Statesman, was held in Austin on August 16, 2011.
A video of the forum is currently available. Click here first, and then click on the “Urban
Rail Forum” panel on the web page that appears to begin the video.
To avoid possible interference, it is recommended that the default video that may start
automatically be turned off before clicking on the “Urban Rail Forum” panel.
With time, it is likely that the “Urban Rail Forum” panel will not show up in the set of nine panels that appears when the statesman.com video page is accessed. The Forum panel may then be in an earlier set of nine panels that can be accessed by clicking on the arrow just to the right of the panel set.
